How Mommy Spent the School Strike

I'm hearing the big CPS strike may be over soon.

Do you think the teachers will ask my sons to write about this past week?

I know the response.

Mommy drank a lot of these:

I'm hiding their crayons now.

    1. We had a good compromise day yesteray. They had swimming, I had tennis, and Joe wasn't working so a certain blogger was MUCH happier. (: (: (:

  4. I doubt the teachers will ask the kids about what they did. I'm sure there are a lot of moms just like you. Me? I would've called on of those ambitious moms doing 'home school' and asked her if I could send my kids over.

    1. I was thinking about it (some moms offered). But I felt too guilty having other moms handle it (even though I have no patience for teaching kids math). So instead, there was a lot of cello, violin and piano practice instead. It counts, right?

  6. I am dying!!!!! So Great!!! Hey, do I see a future in Alcohol Marketing & Design for Jack?

I told my 5 year old daughter that we were going to stop off at her uncles but "we weren't going to stay long enough for her to play with my niece". Her response?
"But we might stay a little long Mommy, because you always say that but then you, well, you know. You start talking and you have some drink of wine or something" - (she thinks all Alcohol is wine)
Best little artwork I have seen all day. If my daughter colored a margarita cup for me, that would be hangin in my kitchen. You so need to frame that Marianne! ;)

  7. Thank you for the big-ole snort laugh.
In the Blogger preview, it only shows the top half of the picture and it looks like a penis. I absolutely HAD to click over to see what this was all about.
    Love it.

    1. I didn't realize that until after you pointed it out! No better marketing than a little scandalous preview!

  8. This is hilarious! HILARIOUS! Plus, I'm feeling thirsty. Let's hope school starts soon so you don't end up in the Principal's office.
